There has been large number of reports on benefits of acai berry supplements. These wonderful berries from special palm trees of rain forests in Amazon have shaken the health and food industry.
Acai berries have antioxidants, which neutralize free radicals from our body that could damage our cells and create loads of problems. These antioxidants are eaten up while protecting our cells, thus these berries help in replenishing the supply of antioxidants in our body. Studies have shown that acai berries have highest amount of antioxidants when compared to other food supplements and also, which are absorbable by human beings. It is called as super food by many people, as it has been there for only few years, but is doing amazing job with the people. It is beneficial in any way you consume it. It makes you feel healthier, boosts energy and helps in weight loss as well. It is also rich in fiber, thus helps in maintaining regularity. Moreover, when it is combined with exercise program and balanced diet, one can see wonderful results.

The only side effect reported is that it causes loss of appetite. It is good if you are willing to loose weight and are consuming it for the same reason, but this is not good for lean and underweight, who want to gain weight. Apart from this acai berries are perfectly safe.

While eating any type of food, the risk of it having side effects runs along. When one consumes coffee becomes nervous. Similarly, when pepper is eaten one can notice that he/she tends to sweat a little more. The thing, which one needs to consider while eating anything, is whether the positive effects of that food outweigh its negatives. The case is same with acai berry.

Many people can actually take one side effect, which comes from having acai berry, as a positive effect. A well-known side effect by acai berry is the decrease in one’s appetite. This is not at all bad when you think about consuming a large number of nutrients and vitamins, plus antioxidants, protein, omegas and fiber from acai itself. This means it is fine with having less appetite because the body anyway is getting lots of nutrients through the berry. This is the main reason how acai helps people with the weight loss.
Another side effect of this acai berry is that one has to consume loads of berries to really notice the decline in the appetite. But it is also good for someone wanting to increase weight as the acai contains many nutrients that help the body to easily build muscles.
So before consuming supplements, one should go through all of its good points and bad points.
